Apparatus: - 7 (Reciprocating holder) Specified for use with a variety of dosage forms. Apparatus:- C onsists of a set of volumetrically calibrated or tarred solution containers made of glass or suitable material, a motor and driven assembly to reciprocate the system vertically or horizontally, and a set of suitable sample holder. Dissolution medium:- As specified in the individual monograph. S ample preparation A (Coated tablet drug delivery system):-   Attach each system to be tested to a suitable sample holder. (By gluing, placing into small nylon bag or metal coil.) Sample preparation B (Trans dermal drug delivery system):-   Attach the system to a suitable sized sample holder with a suitable O- ring. Apparatus:-5 (Peddle Over Disk): Apparatus : -   Use apparatus – 2, with addition of a stainless steel assembly designed for holding transdermal system at the bottom of the vessel. Temperature: 37 ± 0.05°. Distance between Peddle & Disk: 25 ± 2 mm. Dead volume is kept in mind. Disk assembly holds the system flat & is positional such that the release surface is parallel with bottom of the paddle blade. Apparatus suitability test & Dissolution medium :-  Proceed as directed for apparatus : 2. Procedure:- Place dissolution medium & apply the transdermal system to the disk assembly in such a way so that releasing surface facing up. Time: - The test time points, generally three, are expressed in hrs. S ample withdrawn within a tolerance of ± 15 mins. & ±2 %.
